Challenge

Create an “Event” before the actual event, in order to optimise press coverage of Retromobile before it takes place

Increase press coverage beyond automobile publications to also include lifestyle targets

 

Action plan

  • An exhibition held before the Retromobile convention, featuring some of the star models displayed at Retromobile, in a backdrop as exceptional, and Instagram-friendly, as these cars: a hangar at Paris Orly airport.
  • Journalists and influencers were invited to attend the event.
  • Interviews and video shoots were organized onsite.
  • A competition for VIP tickets to the event was run on GQ.com.

Results (2 months after the event)

An exclusive event which boosted the reputation of the Retromobile convention
  • 36 journalists and 12 influencers attended the event, including AFP, Reuters, L’Express, L’Equipe, Les Echos, The Good Life, @anilbrancaleoni and @johnworldd, among others.
  • 225 clippings including around 20 in the press and 206 on social media.
